SEN Teaching Assistant - KS1 (1:1 ASD Support) Southwark September Start Long-Term 95- 100 per day PAYE SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southwark for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 1 on a 1:1 basis. This is a long-term role starting in September , with the school offering flexibility around hours. The successful candidate can work either: • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm , or • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 1:30pm Pay • 95- 100 per day (PAYE)/ 65-70 PAYE for half day • Pay increases after 12 weeks in line with Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) About the Role You will be providing consistent, individual support to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) , helping them to access learning, develop communication and social skills, and thrive within the classroom environment. The child requires personal care , so previous experience and confidence in supporting personal care needs is essential . You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to ensure the child receives the highest standard of care and educational support. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Previous experience supporting children with ASD , ideally within a primary school setting. • Experience providing personal care and confidence carrying out these responsibilities with dignity and sensitivity. • A patient, calm and nurturing approach. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to reach their full potential.
