Hays Education are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Salford for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a brand-new specialist provision within the school from September . This is a full-time role for the entire academic year, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder ( ASD ) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health ( SEMH) needs. The provision has been established to provide tailored support and a nurturing learning environment, helping pupils access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally. The role • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD and SEMH needs. • Assist in delivering personalised learning and intervention programmes. • Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and social development. • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals. • Build positive relationships with pupils and help create a safe, inclusive environment. The ideal candidate • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and/or SEMH. • Calm, patient and resilient approach to supporting behaviour and emotional needs. • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. • Experience within a school, specialist setting or care environment is desirable. • A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
