SEN Teaching Assistant Position: SEN TA Location: Ealing Contract: Long-term Make a Difference Every Day with TimePlan Education Are you an experienced, resilient, and compassionate Teaching Assistant with a proven track record of supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis? We're looking for exceptional SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a range of welcoming primary schools. We are seeking confident professionals who can provide high-quality, individualised support and make a lasting impact on pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. We're looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who: • Have extensive experience providing 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs in a school setting. • Have experience supporting children with a range of needs, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties. • Have strong phonics knowledge and experience , with the confidence to support early reading using recognised phonics programmes and reinforce literacy skills through targeted interventions. • Can confidently adapt learning to meet individual needs and learning styles. • Build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning. • Are calm, patient, adaptable, and resilient when managing challenging situations. • Work effectively as part of a wider school team and communicate confidently with teachers and SEND professionals. • Hold (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. Your Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant: • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with additional learning, communication, or behavioural needs. • Deliver personalised interventions, including phonics and literacy support, to help pupils make measurable progress. • Work closely with class teachers and SENDCos to implement individual education plans and behaviour strategies. • Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, communication, and emotional regulation. • Promote an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. • Record progress and provide valuable feedback to teaching staff.
