SEN Teaching Assistant (Makaton Experience Essential) - Woodford 100- 115 per day Full-Time Long-Term ASAP / September Start Do you have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and confidence using Makaton to help pupils communicate and thrive? We're recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Woodford that supports children and young people with a range of complex learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and nurturing team where every member of staff plays a vital role in helping pupils reach their full potential. This role would suit someone who is patient, compassionate, and passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs. The Role: • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs • Using Makaton throughout the school day to support communication and engagement (essential) • Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), speech and language needs, learning disabilities, and other complex needs • Working alongside teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning and communication strategies • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive social interactions • Supporting pupils with personal care where required • Creating a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment We're looking for someone who: • Has previous experience working in an SEN school, specialist provision, or similar setting • Is confident using Makaton to support communication (essential) • Has experience supporting pupils with Autism and complex learning needs • Is patient, caring, resilient, and able to build strong relationships • Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team • Is passionate about helping every child achieve their individual goals What's on Offer: • Competitive daily rate of 100- 115 per day • Full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent • Weekly pay • Ongoing support from a friendly and experienced consultant • The opportunity to work within a highly supportive SEN school with excellent training and development opportunities • A rewarding role where no two days are the same, and every day makes a difference If you're an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant with Makaton experience looking for your next rewarding opportunity in Woodford, we'd love to hear from you.
