SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor - Southwark - SEMH School - 100- 120 a day (depending on experience) - Full Time - Immediate Start • SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor - Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs required • SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor - Experience working in a SEMH school, PRU or alternative provision desirable • SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor - Must be confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies • SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor - Required full time ASAP Have you previously worked as a SEMH Teaching Assistant or Behaviour Mentor? Do you have experience supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs? Are you able to build positive relationships with young people who display challenging behaviour? If yes, then this SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor role is for you The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor Seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor to support pupils aged 11-16 within a specialist SEMH setting. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils regulate their emotions, improve behaviour and re-engage with learning. The role involves implementing behaviour support plans, using de-escalation techniques, promoting emotional wellbeing and acting as a positive role model to encourage confidence, resilience and independence. The School - SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor This specialist SEMH provision is located in the London Borough of Southwark and is within walking distance of a nearby London Underground station.
