The Security Design and Integration Manager will drive efforts in securing EdgeConneX data centers throughout the Nordics. This role owns physical security design delivery from early design through commissioning and turnover, and has responsibility for overseeing security design, integration, implementation, and programming. The role is also responsible for the integration of EdgeConneX security and customer security efforts, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards. Successful execution requires strong navigation of local construction practices, regulatory authorities, and stakeholder dynamics, and the ability to build durable working relationships with sophisticated enterprise customers. This position is customer-facing and must uphold the ideals of EdgeConneX excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
Own physical security design delivery for all EdgeConneX data centers in the Nordics from early design through commissioning and site turnover.
Define project security requirements and acceptance criteria aligned to EdgeConneX standards and customer expectations.
Procurement and oversight of security designers, integrators, and programmers.
Review and approve security designs and submittals produced by integration partners, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercoms, and related field devices.
Liaison with customer security teams and local construction teams to align EdgeConneX delivery with customer-specific security requirements and acceptance criteria.
Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Information Technology, and Security Operations on system interfaces, dependencies, and schedule constraints.
Oversight of physical security systems, including S2, Lenel, Exacqvision and Genetec systems.
Validate installation and configuration quality through quality checks, site walks, and commissioning reviews; audit security contractors on quality, schedule, and compliance.
Drive closure of design gaps, defects, and punch items, including verification of corrective actions.
Adjust baseline standards to local conditions and to local authorities holding jurisdiction in the Nordics.
Maintain documentation quality, including design drawings, as-built records, test results, configuration records, and turnover packages.
Provide estimating and budgeting inputs for physical security systems when requested.
Collaborate with Security Operations on site turnover and operational acceptance.
Participate in shaping Security Design and Integration global standards and processes, and improve standards, templates, and repeatable design patterns to reduce rework and improve consistency across the portfolio.
