Apple A Day Supply are actively recruiting dependable Cover Supervisors to work across a growing number of secondary schools throughout Salisbury and the surrounding areas, ensuring continuity of learning for pupils throughout the school day.If you're looking for flexible, ad-hoc work within secondary schools across Salisbury, we'd love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage classes in the absence of the class teacherDistribute and oversee the completion of pre-prepared work and learning tasksMaintain a calm, focused and productive classroom environmentMonitor and manage pupil behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policyTake accurate registers and report any concerns to the relevant member of staffSupport pupils who require additional assistance with set tasksLiaise with school staff and administration to ensure smooth cover arrangementsUphold the ethos, values and expectations of each schoolRequirementsPrevious experience working in a school or educational settingConfidence and ability to manage a classroom independentlyStrong behaviour management and communication skillsA calm, professional and adaptable approachAbility to build positive relationships with pupils and staff quicklyEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)Right to work in the UKDesirableExperience as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or Cover SupervisorKnowledge of the National Curriculum across secondary phasesExperience working across multiple year groups and subject areasA relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g. Level 2/3 TA qualification, Level 4 Certificate for HLTAs, a degree in Education or QTS)Benefits of Working with Apple A Day SupplyIsimio App - Control your availability, bookings and schedule — all from one placeCrystal-clear pay - No surprises.
