Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Manages all station events in coordination with Station Manager, Faculty Advisor, General Manager and Program Director. SPECIFIC DUTIES: 1. Communicate with other University departments to inquire if the station can emcee and/or provide music at their events 2. Recruit Executive Board and General Staff members to staff station events 3. Maintain and distribute the schedule of events with staff members working the events 4. Send detailed information of events to Promotions Director for social media and website 5. Work with Station Manager, Faculty Advisor, and others, including Music Directors, to schedule, book and execute concerts on-campus 6. Manage equipment used for events, including testing of equipment and reporting any issues immediately 7. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs (for moving equipment, etc.) 8. Communicate with all DJs about University and FCC rules and regulations 9. Other duties and/or projects as assigned by the professional staff QUALIFICATIONS: • Must have prior experience of 1-semester minimum on WDCE Executive Board • Must possess problem solving and growth mindset with a positive attitude and an initiative to resolve questions or concerns • Must work a minimum of 4 office hours per week • Preferred qualification of a 1-hour (minimum) on-air show • Must attend all weekly Executive Board meetings and General Staff Meetings (unless previously-approved absence) • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Forms and social media platforms • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and handle high-stress situations • Strong organizational, managerial and administrative skills • Ability to multi-task and work independently • Approx. 10-15 hours/week Note to Applicant: This position profile identifies the key responsibilities and expectations for performance.
