Science Subjects Tutor Required
About the Opportunity
We're looking for Science Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 support to children and young people across Boscombe and the surrounding areas .
Working alongside Local Authorities , you'll support learners who require alternative educational provision, helping them develop their understanding of Science while building confidence, motivation, and engagement with learning. Many students benefit from a flexible approach tailored to their individual needs, making this an ideal role for educators who enjoy working closely with learners and adapting their teaching style.

• Subject: Science (KS3, GCSE and equivalent)
• Start Date: September
• Hours: Flexible
• Rate: 25- 30 per hour

Requirements
• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting , including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
• Strong knowledge of Science subjects
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel within your local area
Who You'll Support
You'll work with children and young people of varying ages and abilities, including those with:
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• ADHD
• Anxiety and school avoidance
• EHCPs and other additional learning needs
You'll play an important role in helping students overcome barriers to education, make progress academically, and develop confidence in their abilities.
