The Aufguss – Sauna Master & Therapist is a wellness professional responsible for creating unique and engaging sauna rituals ( aufguss ), ensuring guests enjoy an authentic, safe, and memorable thermal experience. In addition, the role combines delivering high-quality spa treatments and therapies, supporting the spa’s holistic wellness concept. Sauna (Aufguss) Master (m/ž) - Punta Skala Resort Key Responsibilities Aufguss & Sauna Experience • Lead and perform professional Aufguss sauna ceremonies, enhancing guest experience through storytelling, music, essential oils, and sauna techniques. • Educate and guide guests on sauna use, breathing, hydration, and thermal wellness benefits. • Ensure safety and proper sauna etiquette during all sessions. • Develop a seasonal calendar of sauna rituals, including themed and special event Aufguss ceremonies. Spa Treatments & Guest Care • Deliver a range of high-quality treatments (massage, body, or beauty therapies) according to spa standards. • Personalize treatments and sauna experiences to meet individual guest needs. • Promote spa services, wellness programs, and retail products to enrich the guest journey. Operational Support • Assist with daily spa operations, ensuring treatment rooms, sauna, and thermal areas are well-maintained and fully equipped. • Monitor inventory of oils, aromas, and spa supplies, reporting needs to the Spa Manager. • Uphold hygiene, safety, and wellness standards across all spa facilities. Team & Culture • Collaborate closely with other therapists and spa colleagues to deliver a consistent guest experience. • Share knowledge about sauna culture, hydrothermal therapies, and wellness practices with the team. • Contribute creative ideas for wellness events, retreats, and themed spa activities. Qualifications & Skills • Certified spa/beauty/massage therapist qualification. • Formal training and/or proven experience as an Aufguss Master (preferred). • Passion for wellness, thermal bathing culture, and guest service excellence. • Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to engage groups. • Knowledge of aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, and thermal wellness benefits. • Flexible, enthusiastic, and comfortable performing in front of guests. Employment Details • Full-time employment. • Working time is organized through the redistribution of working hours in accordance with the Croatian Labour Act and operational business requirements. • Work is organized in shifts and may include weekends, public holidays, and other non-working days. • The gross monthly base salary for this position ranges from EUR 1,102 to EUR 1,232, depending on the candidate's qualifications, relevant professional experience, and competencies. • Additional compensation for overtime, night work, Sunday work, and public holiday work is provided in accordance with the Croatian Labour Act and the applicable Collective Agreement.
