Description Employment Status: Part-Time/4 hours per week FLSA Status: Non-exempt/Hourly Schedule: Saturday afternoon/evening Reports to: Director of Liturgy Benefits may include: • 403b Retirement • Employee Assistance Program Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • The Saturday Evening Receptionist will be available to assist all parishioner/visitors attending the 5:00 p.m. Mass. This will include answering phone calls, assisting with questions/concerns from parishioners, supplying information about church events, and any other administrative duties that arise. • Maintains confidentiality in all situations. • Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications and Experience: • Previous experience working in an administrative role, providing assistance and information to stakeholders and visitors alike is strongly preferred. • Must have excellent verbal and written skills, and have a pleasant demeanor when in contact with parishioners and visitors to the Pastoral offices. • Must be available to work on Saturdays to support the 5:00 p.m. Mass. • Must demonstrate ability of serving collaboratively with other members of the parish staff. Must be willing to communicate and coordinate with members of the parish community with whom one may interact. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate to various levels of office staff, ministry leaders, and parishioners. • Ability to work in a team environment. • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required. • Meet all Archdiocesan employment requirements. • Provide proof of valid driver’s license and insurance. Physical Demands/ Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to sit at a desk for several hours. The employee should have the ability to occasionally lift and reach overhead boxes and other containers.
