Job Title :   SAS VIYA Administrator Job Summary We are seeking a  motivated  SAS VIYA Administrator to manage, maintain, and support enterprise SAS VIYA deployments across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will  be responsible for  the full lifecycle administration of SAS VIYA platforms, including installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and customer support. This role requires strong  expertise  in Kubernetes/OpenShift orchestration,  database management systems (particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL),   and direct customer engagement to resolve technical issues and ensure platform reliability. Key Responsibilities SAS VIYA Platform Administration • Deploy  and manage  SAS VIYA on-premises using open-source Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift ,  in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle Cloud) . • Validate  infrastructure prerequisites and perform technical preparations for Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and  optimize  SAS applications and infrastructure • Implement backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data and ensure business continuity • Automate routine administrative tasks using scripts and scheduling tools . Customer Support & Issue Resolution • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers experiencing SAS VIYA-related issues • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical problems reported by end-users or detected through monitoring systems • Analyze log files, perform root cause analysis, and provide  timely  solutions to minimize downtime • Coordinate with development teams, and customers to ensure issue resolution • Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate users on effective use of the SAS platform • Create and  maintain  technical documentation . Required Skills & Experience Education & Certification • Bachelor’s degree in computer science , Computer Engineering, or a relevant field Technical Skills • Strong system  administration experience with Linux ( installation , configuration, troubleshooting ) • Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and/or upstream Kubernetes • Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts: Pods, Services, Namespaces, Ingress,  StatefulSets , PVCs,  StorageClasses • Experience with at least  two  major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud • Good experience  with Oracle/PostgreSQL administration (installation, configuration, troubleshooting) • Experience  in scripting languages: Bash, Python . • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible) S oft Skills • Strong troubleshooting mindset with ability to diagnose complex technical issues • Excellent customer-facing communication skills ,  ability to explain technical concepts clearly • Problem-solving abilities ,  proactive approach to  identifying  and resolving issues • Team collaboration ,  ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams • Documentation skills ,  create clear technical documentation and guides • Quick learner ,   willingness  and ability to rapidly learn new software platforms and technologies • Ownership mentality ,  take responsibility for production platforms and customer satisfaction
