About the role The Sanitation Team Member plays an essential role in our production operation. Responsible for the completion of important daily sanitation tasks, including overall cleanliness of the bakery and following crucial sanitation processes, the successful candidate will have high standards, particularly attention to detail. Benefits and Perks • Starting Pay: $19.29 per hour. • PM Shift Differential : Employees working the PM shift receive an additional $1.00 per hour, for a total rate of $20.29 per hour. • Dental and Vision Insurance: Available after 60 days • Health Insurance : Available to eligible full-time employees after 1 year • Additional Benefits: EAP, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and Life Insurance options • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan: Available after 6 months • Employee Discount : Available at Skyport restaurant and retail locations • Paid Leave : Provided in accordance with applicable state and federal laws • Supportive team environment with training and professional development opportunities Responsibilities • Follow proper cleaning procedures, including soap, rinse, and sanitize steps • Clean all equipment in accordance with the Sanitation Manual and established protocols • Dispose of all waste properly and in compliance with facility guidelines • Use required PPE’s always, including safety goggles for the full duration of each shift • Keep all bulk cleaning chemicals secured in the designated chemical cage at all times • Use cleaning chemicals only for their intended purpose • Perform daily cleaning of all equipment across all areas of the facility • Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks as assigned and documented • Rotate to other job task/area of production if needed • Adhere to GMP and SQF programs • Adhere to attendance policy • Stay in compliance with workplace safety standards • Stay informed about current products and policies. Required Skills/Abilities • High school graduate or equivalent • Flexibility to work overtime and/or weekends as needed • Understanding that hours will vary depending on the business and staffing needs • Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) • In addition to prolonged standing, position also requires repetitive hand/wrist motion, prolonged bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. • Must be capable and comfortable working with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment. • Must be capable and comfortable working in wet environments Education and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. • Previous experience in food production preferred but not required. Working Environment Production: This position requires constant exposure to a production environment. Regular exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold/freezing), fumes, vapors, industrial production equipment, and noise will be a common occurrence. May occasionally need to work overtime and Saturdays to fulfill orders.  Hours will vary depending on business and staffing needs. The nature of production work requires the Team Member to possess certain physical abilities. Those listed here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform this job. Most of the workday is spent standing or walking and working in close proximity to others. Eye-hand coordination, depth perception, finger dexterity, and functional vision and speech perception are required. Frequent bending, crouching, pushing/pulling and lifting/lowering of 20-50 lbs. Regular repetitive motions with hands, wrists, or arms. Must be able to operate all equipment used in the facility. Some exposure to skin irritants, electrical equipment, and sharp instruments. Risk to these exposures is minimized by strict adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
