POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be based in Tel Aviv, Israel, with frequent travel to Cyprus.
Sales Manager, MICE & Leisure is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing MICE & Leisure Sales opportunities in Israel to drive Hotel-, F&B- and Entertainment-Revenue for the Resort.
Manages MICE-agencies, Wedding Planners, Corporates and Leisure Travel Trade partners, generates new accounts, develops sales channels and implements sales-strategies for the Israeli-market.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the MICE & Leisure-Sales Segment of the Hotel, working with MICE-Agencies, Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Wedding Planners, Airlines, Tourism Organisations and DMC’s in Israel.
• Responsible for key account management of existing Travel Partners, ensuring revenue maximisation, achievement of personal targets and increasing market share versus competitor set.
• Prospects new MICE & Leisure accounts and sales channels.
• Develops partnerships and joint-marketing activities with business partners to drive awareness of the property along with increased sales production and results.
• Builds strong relationships with local Travel Partners, Government Organisations and Tourism Organisations.
• Conducts site inspections, training seminars and resort-related workshops and webinars.
• Responsible for timely contracting along with negotiating Wholesales Contracts not limited to allotments, terms, and conditions.
• Uses SMART contracting to ensure optimum yielding during annual rate negotiations.
• Attends local and international trade shows, conferences, exhibitions and workshops, in the assigned markets for MICE & Leisure Sales.
• Coordinates local Sales Strategies with internal Marketing & PR-Teams.
• Cross-sells other resort products at any opportunity, creating packages for existing sales channels in the region.
• Aims to achieve the Company’s Sales Vision and Business Goals by achieving set KPI’s.
• Documents all sales actions in the CRM system and produces regular Sales Reports for review by Management.
• Executes sales actions within set cost budget structure, not limited to tactical offers, clients’ partnerships, sponsorships, and familiarisation trips.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
• At least 5-10 years of relevant work experience in Hospitality & Travel in Israel.
• Proven track record of delivering sales results in commercial roles in similar organisations (e.g., hotels, resorts).
• Strong knowledge of the Travel- and MICE- Industry in Israel, including knowledge of competitor resorts and destinations.
E ducation
• Candidates must hold a degree from a major, accredited institution in the fields of hospitality, gaming, sales & marketing or business administration.
Skills / Competencies
• Excellent command of English and Hebrew language is a must.
• Mature presentation style and be comfortable interacting with senior management.
• Extensive knowledge of all product and services provided by the Resort.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong skills in PowerPoint.
• Strong technical skills in PMS systems and software.
• Strong project management and time management skills are a must.
