Role Overview The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving new business development and expanding market presence across the Industrial & Automotive segment in North America. This is a commercially focused role, centered on identifying opportunities, building a strong pipeline, and converting prospects into long-term customers. The position requires close collaboration with customer technical teams, while maintaining a clear focus on revenue generation and market expansion. Success will be measured through new business wins, customer acquisition, and the ability to grow into new applications and markets. Key Responsibilities • Identify, prioritize, and develop new opportunities across target markets and applications • Build and manage a structured, high-quality sales pipeline with clear conversion strategies • Drive opportunities from initial engagement through to commercialization • Work closely with customer technical and commercial stakeholders to understand application needs • Translate requirements into tailored, value-driven solutions • Support product trials, validation processes, and implementation • Develop and expand accounts as new business is secured • Build strong, long-term relationships across multiple customer functions • Focus on high-value opportunities aligned with strategic goals • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs • Contribute insights to support business strategy and product development priorities • Execute targeted account plans to strengthen market positioning • Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and forums • Build credibility and visibility within the lubricants and specialty chemicals sector Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience • Extensive experience (10+ years) within lubricants, base oils, additives, or specialty chemicals, particularly in industrial markets • Proven success in sales and customer-facing roles, with the ability to build and convert opportunities • Strong capability to translate technical concepts into clear commercial value for customers • Experience working with synthetic base stocks, including ester-based technologies, would be highly advantageous • Background in product development, technical service, or application support is considered a strong asset • Well-established network within Industrial & Automotive lubricants markets is beneficial • Proactive and results-oriented approach to identifying and developing new business opportunities • Strong discipline in managing sales pipelines, with a structured and strategic mindset • Skilled in value-based selling, focusing on long-term customer impact and differentiation • Self-driven, with an entrepreneurial approach to execution and ownership JOB DETAILS Industry: Lubricants Sector: Industrial & Automotive Location: North America Travel: ~50-60%, domestic and international MORE JOBS MORE INFORMATION Kate Patterson Delivery Consultant USA The right career might be just a step away.
