Description
Our Why Datacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people's lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow. To thrive in this position, you should either be residing in Brisbane or be open to relocating. This opportunity is available exclusively to Australian Citizens and Residents. About the Role (Your Why) This role sits at the heart of one of our busiest and most successful state teams, helping keep the sales engine running smoothly in a fast-paced, customer-focused and highly collaborative environment. As Sales Licensing Coordinator, you’ll support our licensing and sales team with customer enquiries, quoting coordination, renewals, order support, and day-to-day sales activity that helps deliver a great experience for both customers and internal stakeholders. You’ll be joining a fun, energetic and high-performing team that values initiative, teamwork and a good sense of humour. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, can bring order to a busy environment, and takes pride in making things happen behind the scenes. We embrace a hybrid way of working that balances the flexibility of working from home with the benefits of regular in-person collaboration. We believe some of our best ideas, learning opportunities and team connections happen when we're together, so candidates should expect to spend time working from the office as part of their role. What You Will Do Sales Coordination and Customer Support Be a key point of coordination for customer and internal sales requests, helping ensure enquiries, quotes, renewals and follow-ups are managed clearly, promptly and professionally. Sales Support Support the sales team by helping maintain a smooth pre-sales process, coordinating quote activity, tracking actions, updating opportunities and assisting with the administrative tasks that keep work moving from enquiry through to completion. Licensing and Vendor Coordination Develop a practical understanding of software licensing, vendor processes and customer requirements so you can support the team with accurate information, timely follow-up and clear communication. You won’t be expected to have all the answers on day one, but curiosity and a willingness to learn will be important. Administrative Support Maintain accurate records, support order and renewal administration, manage action items and help ensure the team has the information it needs to deliver quickly and consistently for customers. Communication and Team Support Prepare clear customer and internal communications, assist with proposal and quote content where required, and work closely with licensing consultants, account teams, vendors and distributors to help deliver the right outcome. We are a pretty agile company and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements, and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs. What You Will Bring Experience in a sales coordinator, customer service, sales support, administration or similar role, ideally within technology, software, licensing or a fast-paced commercial environment. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities, keep track of details and follow through on actions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with confidence working with customers, internal sales teams, vendors and distributors. A proactive, customer-focused approach and the ability to stay calm, helpful and solutions-focused in a busy environment. Good attention to detail and confidence working with quotes, systems, records, follow-ups and administrative processes. Comfort using a ticketing system and administrative systems, with a willingness to learn new tools and processes. Bonus Points Previous experience supporting a sales team in a high-volume or fast-moving
