Department: Sales Salary: £25,000 – 30,000 per annum (Full time), plus a bonus opportunity Location: Russell Publishing operates a hybrid working policy with the ability to work from home up to 3 days per week. Our office is located in Brasted, Kent. Summary: Russell Publishing is looking for a driven and ambitious person to join the team, who is determined to expand and develop their sales/ business development skills. Russell Publishing has an exciting development opportunity available for energetic and driven Sales Executives to join our Sales team. Working within the Sales team you will be provide with training and career progression opportunities whilst generating leads, sales, and delegate bookings. The role will provide you with a variety of sales activities across the full multimedia portfolio of print, digital, event and conference products. You will be targeted to undertake project-based sales activity focused on the following three core facets within our multimedia sales operations: • Lead generation • Business development for brands • Delegate sales for events The role: Lead Generation: • Sales prospecting through canvassing of clients across competitive media channels • Recording lead information and client information is added to our CRM. • Initiate contact with prospective customers found through prospecting; facilitate and setup meetings via teams or at external conferences and events. Business Development: • Developing an understanding of clients and market. • Maintaining high levels of scheduled sales calls, visits and client meetings. • Issuing campaign performance reports to clients. • Attending relevant RPL or external exhibitions/ conferences – international travel may be required Delegate Sales: • Gaining a sound understanding of an event’s core subject matter. • Ability to research prospects and build a comprehensive sales pipeline. • Contact follow up with previous event attendees and prospective attendees generated through marketing efforts. Key skills and experience: Your experience must demonstrate your ability to connect and build effective relationships with clients through cold-calling, follow up of in-coming leads and researching potential new opportunities. • Proven experience of working in outbound customer interaction. • Experience of business development/ sales or publishing, media or delegates sales is advantageous • Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint). • Knowledge and use of CRMs. • Communication (written & verbal) – accuracy and professional.
