Job Description: The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for managing and developing long-term relationships with key clients in the Energy sector. This role involves understanding client needs, offering tailored energy solutions, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth through account retention and expansion. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the energy market, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate technical solutions into business value. Job Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring consistent communication and satisfaction • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, including procurement, technical, and executive teams. • Understand clients’ business objectives, energy usage, sustainability goals, and operational challenges. • Prepare proposals, contracts, and presentations as needed Sales Operations & Coordination • Support the sales team in preparing quotations, proposals, and tenders for clients in the energy sector • Coordinate with technical, finance, and legal teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of proposals. • Manage and track sales orders, contracts, and project documentation throughout the sales cycle. • Ensure timely follow-up on leads, renewals, and outstanding proposals Account Growth & Strategy • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell energy solutions (e.g., renewable energy, efficiency services, power purchase agreements, etc.). • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with both client and company objectives. • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities. Project & Contract Management • Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and service delivery to ensure compliance and profitability • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, finance, and customer support) to deliver projects and services on time and within scope. • Ensure accurate billing, reporting, and documentation for each account. Performance & Reporting • Track and report on key account metrics, forecasts, and performance against targets. • Provide insights to management on client satisfaction, risk areas, and opportunities for improvement. Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in business, Energy Management, Engineering, or related field • 2–5 years of experience in account management, sales support, business development, inside sales, commercial coordination or client services—preferably within the energy, utilities, or industrial sectors. • Understanding of the energy industry landscape (renewables, electricity, natural gas, carbon markets, or energy efficiency). • Proven experience managing high-value accounts and complex contracts. • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills. • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite Key Competencies • Client-centric mindset with a proactive, consultative approach. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and administrative skills. • Commercial awareness and ability to interpret market dynamics. • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments. • High degree of integrity, adaptability, and self-motivation. • High sense of ownership, accountability, and responsiveness. • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working under pressure • Commercial acumen and understanding of business processes.
