Senior SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) Engineer - German Speaking - Contract - Vienna/Remote
We are recruiting a Senior SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) Engineer for a long-term freelance contract supporting a major European telecommunications and cyber security enterprise. This SailPoint IIQ contract role is remote-first, with occasional on-site work in Vienna, Austria.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer or IAM Consultant with strong Java skills to join a large-scale Identity and Access Management (IAM) programme with a Tier-1 client in the DACH region.
Role: Senior SailPoint IIQ Engineer
Location: Vienna, Austria / Remote (approx. 95% remote, 5% on-site in Vienna)
Contract type: Freelance / Contract, 100% utilization
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Until approximately 31/01/2027, with high likelihood of extension
Rate: Competitive, DOE
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and implement SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) solutions across complex enterprise IAM environments
• Develop customizations, connectors, and workflows using Java within SailPoint IIQ
• Deliver end-to-end SailPoint IIQ implementation projects, from design through go-live
• Work closely with security architects, IAM leads, and business stakeholders across a multinational organization
• Provide troubleshooting, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of SailPoint IIQ / IAM infrastructure
Required Skills and Experience:
• Excellent product knowledge of SailPoint IdentityIQ (SailPoint IIQ)
• Strong Java development experience (customizations, workflows, connector development)
• Proven experience delivering multiple SailPoint IIQ implementation projects
• Solid background in Identity and Access Management (IAM) / Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)
• Professional-level German language skills (spoken and written) - mandatory
• Willingness to be occasionally available on-site in Vienna, Austria
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
