1. Purpose of the function
To ensure that the store is in a safe and secure environment for visitors and co-workers. Also ensure that the property is safeguarded.
2. A day in your life with us , you will :
• Safeguard the store by regular patrolling and protect company assets.
• Ensure safety procedures are conformed to (store free of any hazards, fire exits are properly locked, security seals are intact, no obstruction at emergency exits, no smoking the store etc.).
• Perform general Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) technician duties to ensure workplace compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain high visibility presence to deter illegal actions such as shoplifting, theft and fights.
• Actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with the rest of the team to understand how, together, we can contribute to sustainability.
• Deliver and coordinate safety training programmes, including Fire Protection System knowledge and Health and Safety at Work.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Be aware of all security related emergency response and follow the policy and procedures.
• Adhere to IKEA supply chain and security policy, and report to concern manager in case of any identified security breaches.
• Previous experience of working in Security.
• SSI & SST and EHS certifications.
• Self-reliant with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
• Experience of creating and implementing plans, setting budgets and following up goals.
• Ability to solve problems or find new ways of working by identifying solution sources and/or ideas.
This position is full-time and is located in Cabo Negro - Tetouan, Morocco. Some travel may be required.
