Date: 15 Jul 2026 Location: Shanghai, Shanghai, CN Company: Bureau Veritas Responsibilities: • Review ship design drawings to ensure compliance with the International Maritime Organization (IMO), classification society rules, and relevant national regulations. • Provides pre-contract service to clients. • Participates in the canvassing for activities in co-ordination with the Manager and assist to Marketing Manager upon the Manager’s instruction. • The field of review drawings is in accordance with the job assignment. • Performs examination of the drawings in accordance with the latest relevant BV rules, international regulations, international & national standards and relevant technical guidance under the supervisions of the Manager and Head Office. • Files and preserves the approved drawings, calculation sheets, computing data, faxes and letter for each vessel. • BV stamps are used in accordance with the provisions of work instruction. • Files and keeps updated the BV Rules, Regulations, Notes, Codes, BV software and other documents received in time. • Uses the computer in proper way and keeps it in good working condition. • Assists BV surveyor to solve the problems appearing during the ship construction period. • Correspond with Head Office and other offices in technical aspect. • Liaison with the clients to resolve the technical problems. • Able to perform independently calculations, analysis and review under supervision's guidance. • Comply with the requirements of the HSE management system. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or above in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related fields. • Solid theoretical knowledge of ship design and extensive experience in plan approval. • Familiarity with the IMO, classification society rules, and relevant national regulations. • Good command of English language, both oral and written is required. • High team spirit, communication skill and ability to work under pressure and independently. • Responsible and diligent.
