Description
A. Safety Management • Implement and monitor company safety policies and programs in compliance with DOLE and OSH standards. • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits in manufacturing, testing, and storage areas. • Identify hazards, unsafe acts, or conditions and recommend corrective/preventive measures. • Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations; ensure proper documentation and follow-up. • Conduct safety orientation, toolbox meetings, and OSH training for employees and contractors. • Promote and reinforce Life-Saving Rules (LSR) and safe work practices across operations • Enforce the correct use of PPE and safe handling of hazardous materials (e.g., transformer oil, cleaning agents). • Coordinate with regulatory agencies (DOLE & BFP) during inspections or compliance audits. B. Emergency Preparedness & Business Continuity - is an advantage • Implement, and regularly review the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Emergency Preparedness Response  (ERP) for the facility. • Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to identify critical manufacturing processes and potential disruptions. • Establish and maintain emergency response teams (ERT), including training and drills (fire, evacuation, chemical spill, earthquake, etc.). • Ensure the availability and functionality of emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, alarms, first aid kits, spill kits). • Coordinate with local emergency services (fire department, hospital, disaster management office) for response support. • Maintain updated communication protocols and contact lists for emergency response and business continuity. • Assist in post-incident recovery planning and ensure minimal downtime in operations following any disruption. C. Documentation and Reporting • Maintain comprehensive safety and BCP documentation, including inspection checklists, incident logs, training attendance, and audit reports. • Prepare monthly safety performance reports and present findings to management. • Track safety KPIs and monitor continuous improvement initiatives.
