Rural Property Associate / Senior Associate (4+ PQE) Location: Edinburgh Sector: Real Estate – Rural Business & Natural Capital Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Associate or Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Rural Business and Natural Capital team, based in Edinburgh. This is a unique opportunity to work with a top-tier legal team that advises on some of the most complex and high-value rural property transactions in Scotland. The firm is known for its progressive culture, strategic thinking, and commitment to excellence. The Role Includes: • Handling the purchase and sale of estates, farms, forestry, and other rural land. • Advising on rural development projects, including residential and renewable energy schemes. • Managing legal matters for estates and rural businesses, including title queries, lettings, and land reform. • Working on agricultural tenancies, sporting rights, and voluntary registration projects. • Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements related to land use. What We’re Looking For: • 4+ years PQE with strong experience in property law and conveyancing. • A genuine interest in the rural sector and natural capital. • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client relationship skills. • Ability to manage complex transactions independently. • A proactive, collaborative, and commercially focused mindset.
