Job Overview
Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, this position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and guest comfort throughout the property. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong service mindset.
Responsibilities
• Clean public areas including dusting, bathroom cleaning, washing windows, mirrors, surfaces, stain removal, carpet shampooing, and garbage removal.
• Strip beds and replace with fresh linen, clean towels, and bathroom amenities.
• Pick up guest laundry from room, transport to and from laundry, and ensure accurate count at all times.
• Provide turn-down services.
• Attend to guests promptly and accurately.
• Check room inventory after guest departure and advise supervisors if anything is missing.
• Ensure all room appliances function properly; report any defects to engineering immediately.
• Maintain all work equipment clean, including housekeeping cleaning cloths, brushes, etc.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries.
• Follow company policy for lost and found items.
• Report defective machinery immediately to supervisor for follow-up.
• Handle cleaning designations: VIP, Make up, Early arrival.
• Understand all room categories and layouts.
• Adhere to health, safety, hygiene, and security regulations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Diploma in Housekeeping Operations
• Team-focused mindset.
• Action-oriented and passionate about guests and business partners to ensure their needs are met.
• Championing change – shows openness to new ideas and adapts readily to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Cost-aware mindset.
• Ability to stand and lift items for an 8-hour shift.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in the same role OR basic qualifications from a reputable organization, or previous experience of two years.
