Description Allpoints Surveying is seeking a field-based Rodman/Instrument Man – Party Chief Opportunity , in Jacksonville, FL to be responsible for surveying and investigating land surfaces to project precise measurements in the assigned area of Palm Coast. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and detail-oriented with solid problem-solving capabilities. Also, the ideal candidate will be competent and comfortable in serving as a single crew member. Responsibilities • Collect field data utilizing GPS and a variety of surveying instruments. • Produce field notes and sketches depicting accurate field conditions. • Utilize a variety of technology to collaborate with other departments. • Organize and prioritize tasks daily. • Operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner and in compliance with all local laws and regulations. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements • Valid Florida State Driver’s License required. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. • Exposure to surveying instruments and processing survey data for 6 months required. • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain required. • Ability to work in the field for extended periods of time required. • Ability to work independently as a single crew member. • Strong verbal and written communication skills required. • High degree of attention to detail required.
