Description
We have an International Logistics Company based in Hounslow seeking a permanent Road Transport Analyst paying good basic + generous bonus scheme. Details are below. Our client based in Hounslow (very close to Heathrow airport) is one of the world’s leading international mail, shipping and distribution organizations, delivering our customers packages, parcels and documents to more than 200 destinations across the globe, it offers a diverse range of ecommerce and mail solutions empowering businesses to grow across-borders. Today it employs over 1,500 people in 16 country offices in Europe, Asia, the USA & Oceania – a global network blended with a local presence. In this position you will be working closely with the Road Transport Manger and Transport team. You will be responsible for analysing the road provider’s service quality and proposing changes where applicable, and therefore maintaining the company’s image and reputation with customers and external stakeholders. The role is from 09am-17:30, Monday- Friday plus 1 Saturday per month 08:00-14:00 – a day off in the following week is given after the Saturday. Flexibility on shift changes and holiday cover is required. You will also be expected to be on call. On call hours will take place on a 4 week rotation period between the 4 members of the road transport team. The hours for on call are as follows: Monday-Friday 19:30 -22:00 , Sunday 07:00- 22:00 Key Tasks: Analyse the road providers service quality and proposes changes where applicable Monitor that services provided by road transport carriers are within client’s expectation Support with the implementation of new carriers Assure all relevant systems are updated with correct rates and schedules Assure all relevant daily reports are correctly updated and shared with relevant parties Support the Road Transport supervisor in daily carrier management Support the Transport team with any day-to-day tasks and holiday/sickness cover Your Profile You are honest and reliable with a strong work ethic Strong verbal communication skills You have both good written and spoken English Proficient in Excel and Google Documents Good knowledge of UK and Europe Experience working with hauliers and freight Be someone who is able to create, maintain and promote good working relationships You must be able to manage time effectively to complete workloads and meet deadlines
