• Road and Grounds Worker (AD, DW, OSY,ISY) RCPCT3 *This is a Work Experience (work-based learning) position available through Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend. All candidates will be considered after program eligibility is determined. Job Title: Roads and Ground Worker Position: FT/PT, 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday Location: Refugio Second Chance Employer: No Pay Rate $15.00 an hour Age: 16+ Recruiter: M. Castanon Duties: • Road maintenance: Repairing and patching potholes, laying asphalt, and performing pavement marking. • Groundskeeping: Mowing, trimming trees and brush, collecting leaves, and clearing debris from rights-of-way and ditches. • Storm and drainage maintenance: cleaning catch basins, storm drains, and culverts. • Construction and repair: Digging trenches, working with concrete, and assisting with the installation of signs and guardrails. • Traffic control: Setting up barricades and flagging to direct traffic around work sites. • Litter and waste removal: Picking up trash in public areas and performing general janitorial work • Physical stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions. • Mechanical aptitude: Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools. • Problem-solving: Ability to handle unexpected challenges as they arise. • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with others and follow instructions.
