Description
Our client is seeking a Client Marine Risk Consultant to join their team on a contract basis, ideally based in Aberdeen, but also open to candidates in Inverness, Perth, or Glasgow. This role requires frequent travel with regular short notice port visits across the UK, focusing on the safe execution of marine survey and construction projects. Key Responsibilities Assist project and marine teams with a range of advice and support to ensure the safe implementation of client standards and expectations. Positively engage with internal project and marine teams, and Contract Partners, both remotely and at site/in port. Review Contract Partner documentation to ensure timely and safe vessel mobilisations and ongoing performance. Attend and actively participate in risk reviews such as Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRAs) to provide marine safety expertise to reduce risk. Report to internal stakeholders of incidents, poor safety standards and/or behaviours on Contract Partner scopes to ensure issues are promptly resolved. About You Extensive safety experience in marine survey/construction operations. Sound knowledge of UK standards and regulations associated with marine survey and construction. Professional communication and stakeholder management skills. Detailed knowledge of risk assessment processes and their application to marine activity. NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge through lived experience. A full UK driving licence is essential due to the level of mobility required in the role.
