Role Overview Lead the strategic evaluation and practical adoption of AI tools that aim to transform end-to-end healthcare revenue cycle performance. This executive-level role applies deep revenue cycle, payer contracting, and financial management experience to validate AI-generated analyses, shape improvement plans, and guide models so they produce reliable, actionable recommendations for hospitals, health systems, and large physician enterprises.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide executive oversight and strategic direction across the full revenue cycle, including patient access, coding, billing, denials management, and collections.
• Review and validate AI-generated revenue cycle analyses, strategic recommendations, and operational improvement plans for accuracy and feasibility.
• Assess AI tools that automate revenue cycle workflows, detect revenue leakage, and optimize payer reimbursement.
• Define, track, and interpret enterprise revenue cycle KPIs, including net collection rate, days in A/R, denial rate, cost-to-collect, and cash collections performance.
• Design and drive revenue cycle improvement strategies that align with organizational financial goals.
• Lead managed care contracting strategy and oversee payer relationship management activities.
• Collaborate with clinical, finance, compliance, and IT leadership to align revenue cycle initiatives with broader organizational priorities.
• Present revenue cycle performance and strategic plans to executive leadership, boards, and investors.
• Annotate AI outputs and supply structured, executive-level feedback to improve AI training datasets and model behavior.
Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years of progressive revenue cycle leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a VP, Sr. Director, or equivalent executive role.
• Deep, hands-on knowledge of end-to-end revenue cycle operations across front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end functions.
• Proven financial acumen, including P&L responsibility, budget oversight, and financial performance reporting.
• Documented track record leading large-scale revenue cycle transformation initiatives in health systems, hospitals, or physician group settings.
• Strong expertise in managed care contracting, payer relations, and reimbursement optimization.
• Exceptional English communication skills, including executive-level presentation and written skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex revenue cycle data and AI-generated outputs into clear strategic recommendations.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications such as HFMA Fellow (FHFMA), CHFP, or CRCR.
• Experience with revenue cycle technology platforms and large-scale electronic health record implementations.
• Background in private equity-backed healthcare organizations, large health systems, or multi-entity physician enterprises.
• Prior exposure to AI tools and demonstrated comfort evaluating AI-generated revenue cycle strategy content.
• Experience leading multi-site or multi-entity revenue cycle consolidation or integration efforts.
Work Terms
