Description
Imagine walking away from a restoration rebuild knowing: • the site ran smoothly from start to finish • flooring was installed right the first time — no callbacks • moisture, prep, and transitions were handled correctly • and production never had to step in to fix execution If you’re a field leader who owns flooring execution and sets the standard, keep reading — this role is built for ownership, mastery, and trust. Who We Are Next Level Restoration & Remodel is an Albuquerque-based restoration and remodel company built around craftsmanship, accountability, and respect for people — and we hold those standards on every job. We specialize in restoration rebuilds and remodel work — flooring, tile, drywall, carpentry — and we are building a company where: • quality is non-negotiable • management stays out of the field because the field is owned • tradespeople are trusted, paid well, and expected to perform We do not cut corners. We do not lower the bar. We do not do “good enough.” The Role Role Title: Lead Technician (Flooring Expert) Reports To: Restoration Department Manager Status: Full-Time, Field Role You own flooring execution within restoration rebuild projects. You lead daily field execution for all flooring scopes while serving as the flooring authority in the field — without constant management involvement. Your job is to make restoration rebuilds predictable, clean, and professionally executed — with flooring work that protects schedules, quality, and the Next Level brand. What Success Looks Like You are successful in this role when: • Flooring installs (LVP, laminate, tile, carpet) meet a non-negotiable standard • Subfloor prep, moisture mitigation, transitions, and finishes are done right the first time • Flooring scopes stay aligned with restoration timelines and sequencing • Punch items are identified early and jobs close clean • Technicians and Helpers improve because you lead, coach, and set the standard What You’ll Do You will: • Own flooring execution end-to-end on restoration rebuild projects • Lead and perform installation across all flooring types, including prep, layout, transitions, and finishes • Coordinate flooring work with restoration sequencing and other trades • Enforce craftsmanship standards and resolve issues before they escalate • Maintain clean, safe jobsites while protecting client property • Develop Technicians and Helpers through hands-on leadership Who This Role Is For This role is for someone who is: • Accountable and authentic, owning outcomes without excuses • Respectful, team-driven, and leads by example • Intentional and efficient, planning work to avoid waste and rework • Empathetic and solution-oriented under restoration pressure • Proud of elite flooring craftsmanship and committed to growth Who This Is NOT For This role is not for you if: • You want to work alone without ownership or leadership • You need constant supervision • You avoid accountability for job outcomes • You get defensive when quality is challenged What Makes Next Level a Great Place to Work At Next Level, we believe great people thrive in clear systems, high standards, and well-run jobs. You can expect: • Competitive pay aligned with leadership responsibility and craftsmanship • Full-time, steady work in restoration rebuilds • Clear expectations and real ownership • Respect and autonomy — no micromanagement • Leadership support that removes obstacles, not standards • Growth without being pushed into an office role COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This is a full-time, long-term field leadership role — not temporary work and not piece rate. Compensation is based on experience, demonstrated flooring expertise, and field leadership capability — not titles or tenure. What we offer: • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance • 401(k) • FTO (Flexible Time Off) • Professional development opportunities This role is built for professionals who want stability and autonomy — without sacrificing standards or benefits. Next Steps If this role sounds like you: • Apply with your basic info and work history • We’ll schedule a conversation to confirm alignment • Final candidates may walk through past work or field scenarios We move fast — and we hire carefully. If you want to own flooring execution in restoration and set the standard, we want to meet you.
