Overview
Atkins Search is recruiting a Site Engineer on behalf of a highly respected, market-leading developer based in Nottinghamshire to join their established technical team, renowned for delivering high-quality projects across the region.

Role
As a Site Engineer, reporting into the Engineering Manager, you’ll be at the core of site delivery process. From setting out and infrastructure to quality assurance and technical problem-solving, you’ll ensure homes are built to the highest standards - safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Set out for roads, sewers, foundations, and superstructure using GPS and robotic total stations
Monitor and control site levels, drainage, and earthworks against approved designs
Support the Site Manager with technical interpretation of drawings and resolving on-site issues
Coordinate early-stage works, including groundworks and utility connections
Conduct inspections and quality checks to meet NHBC and Building Regulations
Maintain accurate records of site progress, as-built information, and daily reports
Ensure compliance with H&S regulations and company procedures
Person
HND/HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction-related discipline
Previous experience as a Site Engineer (ideally in residential, housing, or groundworks)
Proficiency in AutoCAD, total stations, GPS equipment, and MS Office
CSCS card (Engineer level or above); SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills
A commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
