Location: Surrey (office-based initially, with potential for hybrid working following successful integration) Salary: Up to £72,000 depending on experience Hours: Full-time (approximately 9:00am–5:30pm, with some flexibility by agreement) The Opportunity An established and growing law firm in Surrey is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join its property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident conveyancing professional who can independently manage a full residential conveyancing caseload while delivering exceptional client service from instruction through to completion. This role is best suited to an experienced fee earner who requires minimal supervision and enjoys taking ownership of client matters. There is no PQE requirement for the role, experience is key. It is not suitable for candidates seeking training or close supervision in residential conveyancing. Key Responsibilities Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload, including: • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases • Remortgages • Transfers of equity • Shared ownership transactions • Registered and unregistered land • General residential conveyancing matters • New build transactions, including working with developers, meeting lender requirements, and managing tight exchange deadlines (desirable) About You To be successful, you will have: • Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer status • Proven experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion • Handling freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfer equity, shared ownership matters, registered and unregistered land, general residential conveyancing transactions. • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing • Excellent client care and relationship-building skills • A proactive approach to progressing transactions and resolving issues • High standards of accuracy, organisation, and regulatory compliance • A collaborative attitude and desire to contribute to a growing, supportive team • Experience with new build transactions, dealing with developers, tight exchange deadlines and lender requirements is ideal. Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance from Southwest Surrey. The successful candidate will join a close-knit residential property team, working alongside two solicitors and dedicated support staff in a collaborative environment. Recruitment Process The recruitment process consists of two stages: • Initial interview with a Partner. • Second-stage interview with another Partner, including a role-related assessment. Initial interviews may be conducted via Zoom, with face-to-face meetings forming part of the later stages of the process, with the firm happy to be flexible.
