The candidate will perform research on all aspects wireless networking and communication. We specifically target work on 5G and beyond cellular networks, device-to-device communication, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, analytical analysis of mobile networks, and quality-of-service provisioning. As a member of the wireless team, the researcher will be involved in cutting edge research and experimental work as well as close interaction with PhD students. Skills Required • Strong background in wireless communications, 5G and beyond cellular networks, device-to-device communication, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, analytical analysis of mobile networks, and quality-of-service provisioning. • Very good publication record in top academic conferences and journals • Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills • Experience in mentoring graduate students • Very good organization and communication skills Academic Qualifications • PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field Experience • Experience with writing and/or managing successful project proposals (EU, national, or regional) • Experience with resource optimization techniques for integrated sensing and communication • Experience of working with standardization bodies (like ETSI, 3GPP, etc.) for standardizing new wireless technologies Contract Duration and Type • 3-year full-time contract.
