Job Title Responsible for providing specialized animal husbandry and performing associated duties in a research setting with direction from supervisor, manager, or higher-level technician. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: • Provide all aspects of general husbandry to germ-free mice. • Prepare and sterilize all supplies required for husbandry needs. • Maintain inventory of supplies. • Assemble, take down, reassemble, and sterilize isolator units. • Assist with colony management and maintaining associated records. • Assist facility manager, supervisor or higher level technicians with experiments and data collection and data entry. • Assist with general lab maintenance and cleaning. Working Conditions: • Works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. • Must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
