RESEARCH, DOCUMENTATION AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT INTERN Contract type: Fixed term – 40 hours per week   Location: Kigali, Rwanda   Salary: Monthly Stipend (RWF150,000) Change starts with water. About the team WaterAid Rwanda (WARw) works through supporting local organizations and government to plan and implement inclusive and sustainable services of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). WARw also seeks to influence the policy change through government and other key WASH stakeholders to secure and protect the right of poor people to safe, affordable water and sanitation services. Occupying the position of Business development in WaterAid is an exciting opportunity to work with WaterAid and contribute to the achievement of the national and global goals towards realizing the WASH access for everyone everywhere.   About the role The Research, Documentation and Knowledge Management Intern will support the Research and Knowledge Management function by transforming evidence and programme information into high-quality visual and written knowledge products. The intern will contribute to documenting programme achievements, strengthening knowledge sharing, maintaining the knowledge repository, and promoting organizational learning through effective graphic design and documentation towards impact scale up.   In this role, you will: Conduct process documentation to generate evidence that informs influencing efforts and supports impact scaling for broader systemic change. Produce and Design learning briefs, policy briefs, technical briefs, annual reports, research reports, evaluation reports, case studies, newsletters, and factsheets. Produce high-quality infographics that communicate research findings, project results, monitoring data, and programme achievements. Design presentations, banners, brochures, posters, roll-up banners, certificates, and other visibility materials for workshops, campaigns, conferences, and learning events. Create social media graphics and digital communication materials to promote organizational learning and programme visibility. Develop illustrations, icons, diagrams, and visual layouts that enhance understanding of technical information. Format publications to ensure consistency with WaterAid's branding, accessibility, and publication standards. Prepare activity summaries and event reports. Capture lessons learned, good practices, and programme innovations. Organize photographs, videos, and other documentation materials from programme activities. Catalogue and archive reports, publications, presentations, photographs, videos, and communication materials. Assist in developing visual summaries of research findings and evaluation results. Support dissemination of knowledge products across internal and external platforms. Assist in packaging evidence into user-friendly formats for different audiences. Contribute to documenting lessons learned and best practices from projects. Participate in programme field visits when required. Support communication and visibility during national and international events. Perform any other documentation and knowledge management assignments delegated by the supervisor.
