Job - Quantity Surveyor - North West | Peace Recruitment Group VACANCY Renewables & T&D Quantity Surveyor - North West Ref: 91628 Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE Location: North West of England Type: permanent Our client is a leading international consultancy delivering project, programme and commercial management services across major infrastructure and energy projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to support a portfolio of complex capital programmes within the energy and infrastructure sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects across areas including renewable energy, transmission & distribution, utilities, transportation and other major infrastructure developments. The Role The successful candidate will play a key role in providing commercial and cost management support throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary delivery teams. Key Responsibilities • Take ownership of delivering high-quality commercial and cost management services across multiple projects. • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support informed commercial decision-making. • Manage workloads effectively, working independently while recognising when to escalate risks or issues. • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders. • Produce clear and accurate commercial reporting, forecasts and cost analysis. • Administer contracts and manage commercial processes including change control, cost forecasting, cashflow management and variance reporting. • Monitor project performance against programme, budget and key performance indicators. • Support value engineering and commercial optimisation initiatives throughout project delivery. • Provide commercial advice to project teams and assist in the negotiation and agreement of final accounts. • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and recommending enhancements to commercial processes and systems. Requirements • Degree or HNC qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline. • Experience administering NEC3/NEC4 and/or FIDIC contracts. • Demonstrable cost and commercial management experience within major infrastructure or energy projects, including sectors such as: • Renewable Energy • Transmission & Distribution • Nuclear • Utilities • Water • Rail • Highways • Aviation • Low Carbon • Experience working on major projects, programmes or capital portfolios. • Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills. • Professional chartership (MRICS or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
