Spire Healthcare Staffing is seeking experienced Oncology Data Specialists (ODS) / Certified Tumor Registrars (CTR) for an exciting fully remote contract opportunity supporting one of the nation's leading healthcare systems.
This project focuses on reducing a significant cancer registry backlog while supporting oncology quality initiatives, cancer reporting, and patient care. We're looking for seasoned Oncology Data Specialists with at least four years of experience who are comfortable abstracting highly complex cancer cases and maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Position Details
Position: Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) / Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR)
Location: 100% Remote (Work from Anywhere in the U.S.)
Contract Length: 13 weeks but HIGH chance this will go for 6+ months.
Pay: $40-$45/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Preferred Monday-Friday
Weekend Work: Available if desired (limited IT support available on weekends)
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (W-2)

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive oncology case abstraction for reportable cancer cases.
Review pathology reports, operative reports, physician documentation, diagnostic imaging, treatment records, laboratory results, and other pertinent medical records.
Abstract complex oncology cases into the cancer registry.
Complete all required user-defined data fields accurately.
Maintain productivity while meeting established quality expectations.
Ensure compliance with Commission on Cancer (CoC), SEER, NAACCR, AJCC, and applicable cancer registry standards.
Participate in ongoing quality assurance and quality review processes.
