Volunteer Opportunity: Rein & Shine Project Location: Warrens Hall Riding School, Rowley Regis Organisation: Kaleidoscope Plus Group – Community Engagement Team Kaleidoscope Plus Group’s Community Engagement team is seeking a volunteer to support our Rein & Shine project at Warrens Hall Riding School. About Rein & Shine: Rein & Shine is a collaborative project designed to support the emotional wellbeing of children in Sandwell through animal-assisted activities, specialist wellbeing interventions, and psychoeducation. Each group runs for 10 weeks, with two cohorts per week after school, aligned with the school calendar on a Tuesday and Thursday. Sessions avoid school holidays to maintain consistent engagement and optimal capacity at the riding school. Volunteer Requirements: Volunteers will support children during creative and wellbeing activities, offering encouragement and friendly conversation as children express themselves through art and other hands-on projects. This role is ideal for someone who: · Enjoys working with and talking to children one-to-one · Has an interest in creativity and wellbeing · Feels comfortable and confident with safeguarding responsibilities · Communicates clearly and compassionately · Can help create a safe, supportive, and positive environment for all participants Volunteer Responsibilities: · Spend time with children during activities, providing friendly, one-to-one support and conversation · Encourage and assist children with creative tasks, such as art and hands-on projects · Support a safe and positive environment, following safeguarding guidelines · Communicate clearly and kindly with children, parents, and staff from Warrens Hall Riding School and Kaleidoscope Plus Group. · Liaise with parents to discuss the activities and suggest ways to support their children’s emotional development at home.
