Associate / Senior Associate (5+ PQE) Regulatory & Compliance Edinburgh (Hybrid Working) An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's leading Strategic Risk, Government & Compliance practices. This highly regarded team advises major commercial organisations and public sector bodies on some of the most complex, high-profile regulatory and compliance matters in the market. Working alongside recognised experts in the field, you will advise clients across sectors including financial services, construction, manufacturing, transport, food & drink and the public sector on a broad range of regulatory and corporate risk issues. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to build a long-term career in a market-leading practice with genuine opportunities for progression, advocacy and business development. The Role You will work on a varied and intellectually stimulating caseload including: • Regulatory investigations and enforcement • Corporate crime and financial crime • Anti-bribery and corruption • Environmental law • Health & Safety • Public inquiries • Judicial reviews and statutory appeals • Compliance and governance • Strategic risk management The work is often complex, sensitive and high profile, requiring close collaboration with clients, regulators and senior stakeholders. You will be responsible for drafting legal advice, conducting investigations, preparing cases for court and tribunal proceedings, developing legal arguments and helping clients navigate challenging regulatory environments. There will also be opportunities to develop advocacy skills and contribute to the continued growth of a nationally recognised practice. About You You will ideally have: • 5+ years' PQE • Experience in one or more areas of regulatory law, investigations, litigation or corporate crime (although specialists from adjacent practice areas with a genuine interest will be considered) • Excellent technical and analytical skills • Strong drafting and communication abilities • Experience managing client relationships and delivering commercially focused advice • The confidence to manage a varied caseload with appropriate supervision • Knowledge of Sheriff Court and/or Court of Session procedure would be advantageous • Qualification in England & Wales would be beneficial but is not essential Most importantly, you will have a genuine enthusiasm for regulatory law, compliance, investigations and strategic risk, together with the ambition to develop your expertise within one of the strongest teams in the market.
