Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary legal and regulatory advisor for new product launches, features, and initiatives on the global platform being involved end to end in the launch of new products
Conduct regulatory gap analyses for target jurisdictions to assess the permissibility and risk profile of product offerings in markets where the exchange has not yet obtained local licenses
Develop and maintain product compliance frameworks, playbooks, and decision matrices for the global product team
Advise Product, Tech, Business and Fiat teams on regulatory constraints, user eligibility requirements, geo-restrictions, and risk mitigation strategies aligning these with internal guidelines
Assess regulatory classification of products (spot trading, derivatives, lending, staking, earn products, launchpad offerings, copy trading, etc.) across jurisdictions
Monitor global regulatory developments affecting product permissibility and proactively flag risks and opportunities to the business
Coordinate with Licensing Counsel and external advisors to align product launch timelines with licensing strategy and regulatory engagement
Support the development of internal approval processes (product governance review processes, sign-off workflows) for new product rollouts
Prepare regulatory risk assessments and internal memos to support product decisions by senior leadership
Requirements
Law degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent); admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction is preferred
3-6 years of experience in regulatory law, financial services law, or technology law or crypto — with exposure to product advisory, fntech or crypto
Understanding of cryptocurrency product structures (spot, derivatives, perpetuals, lending, staking, earn, NFTs) and their regulatory treatment across jurisdictions
Ability to conduct multi-jurisdictional regulatory analysis and present findings in clear, commercially actionable terms
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills — comfortable navigating regulatory ambiguity and providing risk-based advice
Strong written and verbal communication in English; additional languages especially Chinese are a plus
Collaborative mindset and a good team player with the ability to work closely with internal teams as well as independently
Fast learner, able to hit the ground running. takes ownership of projects, has pride in the work
Direct experience advising on crypto or digital asset products at an exchange, fintech, or financial institution
Familiarity with regulatory treatment of derivatives, perpetuals, and structured products in key jurisdictions (e.g., ADGM, SFC, FCA, VARA)
