Location: Wanstead, North East London
Pay: £60,000 per year
Type: Full-time Permanent Contract
Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Service Manager with a proven track record of running successful semi-independent living services for young people aged 16-18? Do you have the drive and expertise to lead a multi-provision service, engage with commissioners, and win tenders?
We are seeking an exceptional leader to oversee our clients Supported Living Service in Wanstead, North East London, providing a safe and structured environment for young people transitioning from foster care, abusive environments, or dealing with mental health needs without requiring clinical or personal care support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Service Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the semi-independent living service, ensuring high-quality support tailored to the needs of young people.
• Strategic Management: Lead a multi-provision service, managing teams, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement.
• Multi-site experience would be advantageous.
• Commissioner & Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong relationships with commissioners across Greater London Local Authorities, ensuring our service remains a trusted provider
• Tender & Bidding Expertise: Identify opportunities, write and win tenders, and secure funding to sustain and expand services.
• Safeguarding & Compliance: Ensure all policies and procedures adhere to OFSTED regulations, safeguarding guidelines, and best practices in youth support services.
• Staff Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and inspire staff to deliver high-quality support, fostering a positive and nurturing environment for both young people and employees.
Essential Requirements:
• Registered Service Manager (RSM) qualification
• Extensive experience working with 16-18-year-olds, particularly those transitioning from local authority care, trauma backgrounds, or mental health challenges.
• Proven track record of winning tenders and securing bids, with a strong understanding of local authority commissioning processes.
• Experience liaising with Greater London commissioners, building strong relationships to ensure service sustainability and growth.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a multi-provision service and drive operational excellence.
• In-depth knowledge of OFSTED standards, safeguarding legislation, and CQC (if applicable).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving license (preferred) and willingness to travel across London as needed.
