About the RESET Center, operated  by Connections   Located in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood, the RESET Center provides an alternative destination for individuals who are found to be publicly intoxicated (due to alcohol and/or  d rugs) and would otherwise be transported to the emergency department or jail.    In collaboration and partnership with local law enforcement and public health agencies, the RESET Center aims to effectively divert intoxicated individuals away from the criminal justice and/or healthcare systems to improve outcomes, reduce systemic burden, and support connection to needed resources within the community.    Earn More with Shift Differentials Maximize your earnings with additional hourly pay: +$2/hr -> Monday-Thursday Nights +$6/hr -> Friday-Sunday Nights +$2/hr -> Saturday-Sunday Days What You'll Do:   The  Registered Nurse (RN)   provides nursing  assessment, monitoring, and  protocol-driven  intervention for adults experiencing acute intoxication within a low-barrier sobering environment. The RN  performs abbreviated nursing triage per standardized  procedure , which   assesses  behavioral and physical health needs, and documents  in accordance with  harm-reduction and trauma-informed best practices. This role ensures safe oversight, supportive care, and  protocol-guided referrals or transfers  for individuals who may otherwise be transported to an emergency hospital or jail.   Perform  abbreviated nursing  assessments,  including vitals, impairment/intoxication levels, and withdrawal risk screening.   Recognize signs of  medical or psychiatric emergencies and initiate EMS or ED transfers when clinically  indicated .   Provide supportive care, including hydration, nutrition/snack support, wound care, and   medication administration per standing orders  for minor injuries or symptoms.   Assess and  monitor  patients through the sobering process, noting changes in behavior, cognition, or level of consciousness.   Offer education, motivational engagement, and compassionate communication  regarding  substance use, health risks, and harm-reduction strategies.   Utilize trauma-informed and de-escalation approaches to respond to escalating behaviors.   Conduct incident debriefs and complete required clinical
