With two operating rooms and two procedure rooms, the center provides high-quality, cost-effective outpatient surgical and procedural care primarily for Orthopedics, Spine, Podiatry, and Pain Management. Owned and operated in partnership with BSMH and Compass Surgical Partners (an ASC Management organization), the center combines advanced technology with compassionate, patient-centered care in a convenient setting. Role Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care at Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes. What You’ll Do - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings - Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery - Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients - Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols - Support patient education and post-op instructions What You’ll Bring - Graduate of an accredited RN program - Current Illinois RN license (unencumbered) - At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years) - Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months) - Preferred: Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) - Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills Physical & Work Environment Requirements - Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and manual dexterity - Exposure to surgical environments, equipment, and patient care areas - Full-time, on-site position (Monday–Friday) Compensation & Benefits - Competitive pay with medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays - Opportunities for ongoing education and professional growth - Supportive, team-oriented work environment
