Description
At GoGlobal, the Regional Product Owner (RPO), Accounting, Tax & Payments (ATP) is the senior commercial and professional face of our accounting and tax service across the region. This is a client-facing leadership role for a qualified accountant who can sit confidently in front of clients, win their trust, and translate technical accounting and tax expertise into clear commercial value. You will be the partner of choice for our Sales teams — joining client meetings, shaping scopes and pricing, and giving prospects the confidence that their accounting and tax obligations are in expert hands. Behind that commercial front, you lead a multi-country regional team delivering bookkeeping, accounting close, tax compliance, and statutory reporting as a service, ensuring every client experiences responsive, high-quality service. This role suits a commercially minded accountant who enjoys building relationships as much as leading delivery — someone who can grow revenue and retention through the strength of the client relationship while keeping a regional team performing and engaged. Roles & Responsibilities Commercial & Client-Facing Leadership Act as the senior accounting and tax authority clients meet in the region — representing GoGlobal in pitches, scoping conversations, business reviews, and escalations. Partner closely with Sales and Portfolio Managers as the regional delivery expert in the room: qualifying opportunities, shaping service scopes, supporting pricing, and helping convert and expand accounts. Build and own trusted, long-term relationships with key clients, becoming their go-to advisor for accounting and tax across the region. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts and feed qualified leads and market insight back to the commercial teams. Support client onboarding, transition, and go-live conversations, setting clear expectations and a confident first impression of the service. Champion an exceptional client-service culture across the regional team — responsive communication, proactive updates, and a problem-solving mindset at every touchpoint. Regional Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the Manager (Team Lead) layer and the in-country ATP teams who deliver day-to-day accounting and tax work across multiple countries. Build team capability and a service-oriented, commercially aware culture across the jurisdictions GoGlobal supports. Maintain visibility of regional workloads and capacity, protecting delivery performance and client SLAs. Plan headcount and capacity for the region based on client demand and growth, putting forward hiring proposals with a clear business case. Act as the senior point of escalation for material accounting, tax, or compliance matters, leading resolution with clients and the team. Service Delivery & Quality Own the quality, timeliness, and client experience of in-house ATP delivery — bookkeeping, accounting close, tax compliance preparation, and statutory filings — ensuring work is accurate, compliant, and on time. Keep the operation efficient and economically sustainable, balancing service quality with cost-to-serve and margin. Promote consistent, process-oriented ways of working and adoption of global ATP standards as the foundation for scalable, reliable service — while personalising the client touchpoints that matter. Enable the use of technology and automation thoughtfully to improve accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround for clients. Compliance, Audit & Risk Stay current on accounting standards (IFRS, local GAAP) and tax / statutory reporting requirements across the region and proactively flag upcoming changes to clients and teams. Ensure ATP delivery is executed in line with global standards, internal controls, and local regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits, providing accurate working papers, evidence, and accounting / tax context as required.
