A growing industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to support operations across multiple facilities, with the role based in Aurora, IL. This person will play a key role in advancing safety performance, strengthening regulatory compliance, and establishing consistent EHS programs across a multi-site manufacturing network. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with operational leadership while helping build scalable systems that support continued business growth. It is well suited for a hands-on EHS professional who enjoys driving culture change and making a measurable impact across multiple locations. The Role • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs across several manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state regulations. • Partner with plant leadership, supervisors, maintenance, engineering, and HR teams to integrate safety into daily operations and drive employee engagement. • Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations while developing and tracking corrective actions through completion. • Develop and maintain key safety and environmental programs, including machine guarding, lockout/tagout, hazard communication, PPE, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, and waste management. • Monitor EHS metrics and compliance performance, identify trends, provide leadership reporting, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk and improve operational effectiveness. The Candidate • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, with at least 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial operations. • Strong understanding of OSHA requirements, safety management systems, training development, compliance audits, and incident investigation methodologies. • Experience supporting environmental compliance initiatives including hazardous waste management, SDS administration, air emissions, stormwater, and environmental reporting requirements. • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and effectively balance regulatory requirements with operational needs. • Multi-site manufacturing experience and professional certifications such as CSP, ASP are highly preferred.
