Chief Instructor Marine Corps University (MCU) / College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) Location : CDET Regional campuses (MCB Quantico VA; MCB Camp Lejeune NC; NAS-JRB Fort Worth TX; MCB Camp Pendleton CA; MCAS Miramar CA; MCB Hawaii; MCB Camp Butler Okinawa Japan) This position is contingent upon contract award. Hatalom is seeking a Regional Chief Instructor (RCI) to support the Marine Corps University (MCU) College of Distance Education and Training (CDET). The RCI serves as the academic lead for their assigned program and region, overseeing adjunct faculty performance, faculty development, student cohort management, and instructional quality. Working closely with Regional Directors, Associate Deans, Subject Matter Experts, and Administrative Support Specialists, the RCI ensures the successful delivery of Professional Military Education (PME) programs and compliance with CDET academic standards. This position is contingent upon contract award. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Manage, mentor, train, and evaluate adjunct faculty supporting assigned programs. • Work with Administrative Support Specialists to organize students into seminar cohorts and assign adjunct faculty instructors. • Review and  submit  adjunct faculty qualification packages and biographies for approval. • Conduct faculty development activities and ensure completion of required faculty training and orientation. • Monitor faculty performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and annual assessments. • Ensure faculty compliance with grading standards, course requirements, and academic policies. • Review student and faculty feedback and provide recommendations for program improvements. • Monitor regional performance metrics and brief results to Regional Directors. • Coordinate with Associate Deans and Curriculum SMEs to  maintain  curriculum quality and content currency. • Ensure faculty and student enrollment within Learning Management Systems (LMS) and provide basic LMS support. • Teach at least one course annually within the assigned  program. • Attend the annual CDET Faculty Workshop and other required meetings or training events. • Conduct periodic visits to regional seminar locations to  observe  instruction and support faculty development. Required Qualifications • Meet all faculty qualification requirements for the assigned program (CSCDEP, EWSDEP, or ECDEP). • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and instructional experience. • Experience  facilitating  adult learning and professional military education programs. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to manage geographically dispersed faculty and operations. Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience instructing for Marine Corps University or CDET programs. • Experience supervising faculty, instructors, or academic programs. • Master's degree from an accredited institution. • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Moodle. • Military or Department of Defense educational experience. Security Requirements • U.S. Citizenship  required . • Active Secret clearance (Tier 3 Investigation)  required .
