Position Summary:
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with youth, demonstrates appropriate boundaries, and ensures appropriate care and supervision.
Essential Duties:
• Acquires and demonstrates knowledge of Continuum of Care, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care and maintains a professional environment that is consistent with Title 22, licensing regulations, and established agency policies.
• Demonstrates effective and consistent Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
• Maintains vigilant supervision of youth placed in 24/7 care.
• Actively engages and encourages youth towards their treatment goals and in daily living.
• Regularly transports youth to appointments, recreation activities, court, family visits, etc.
• Prepares timely and accurate documentation.
• Understands and retains instructions for complex tasks.
• Facilitate or assist with life skills groups, including budgeting, cooking, hygiene, employment readiness, healthy relationships, grief and loss, and wellness activities.
Pay Range: $18.39 - $22.98 per hour.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications :
Preferred one (1) year of experience working with children, adolescents, or youth in a childcare, educational, residential, recreational, behavioral health, or social services setting is required. Associate’s degree or coursework in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements :
• Proficiency in a threshold language preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted California driver’s license and insurance.
• Must be able to successfully complete and maintain required certifications and training including, but not limited to, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and First Aid/CPR.
• Must be able to understand and follow policy and procedures.
• Must be able to document services, incidents, and other required forms/documents.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
