ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: The (Project Manager) provides technical leadership and support to the Rattlesnake Creek watershed by planning, directing and implementing irrigation technologies and land stewardship on private agricultural lands. They address water infrastructure, irrigation technologies and innovative farming techniques, foster cross-site learning among a multi-disciplinary group of stakeholders and supply conservation coordination with site or landscape level information relevant to the planning process. They develop and implement conservation strategies, employ a full range of conservation tools to acquire varying degrees of water savings and implement a variety of strategies to continue public and private support for TNC conservation priorities in the region. They coordinate supply chain support with commodity markets and researchers alike, collaborating with TNC’s Corporate Engagement team to implement grant deliverables: Prescription fallowing, temporary water rights retirement, and irrigation technology assistance. Additionally, the incumbent will work on expanding phreatophyte removal efforts throughout the watershed with partner organizations and agencies.
