Madera Community Hospital is hiring an experienced Rapid Response Nurse to join our Critical Care team. This is a highly skilled role for a nurse who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes situations — responding to medical emergencies throughout the hospital, assessing rapidly deteriorating patients, and determining the interventions needed to stabilize them.
$5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates (paid per MCH policy, subject to a service commitment — details provided at offer).
What You'll Do
• Respond to Rapid Response and emergency calls throughout the hospital
• Rapidly assess deteriorating patients and initiate critical interventions
• Partner with the care team to stabilize patients and coordinate next steps
• Bring ICU/ER-level clinical judgment to fast-changing, high-pressure situations
Qualifications
Education
• Completion of an accredited School of Registered Nursing
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Experience
• 5–7 years of nursing experience in a combined specialty area, ICU and ER
• CCRN, CEN, or TNCC certification required within one year of employment
• Prior Crisis Nurse experience preferred (1–2 years)
Skills
• Strong healthcare leadership and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable adapting quickly to constantly changing patient needs
• Able to work safely and efficiently in a high-acuity, dynamic environment
Required Licenses/Certifications
• Current California RN license
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification
• Current CCRN, CEN, or TNCC certification
• NIHSS certification
• Basic Arrhythmia certification
