We are seeking a qualified and experienced Rail Plant Fitter to carry out maintenance, servicing, and repair work on rail-mounted plant and associated equipment. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of excavators and heavy plant machinery and be capable of working independently both in depot and on-site environments. The role involves maintaining a range of equipment including Atlas and Liebherr machines, trailers, and specialist attachments while ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures. Benefits: • Company van • Fuel card • Training and sponsorship opportunities As a Rail Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for: • Carry out planned maintenance, servicing, and repairs on rail-mounted plant and equipment. • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults. • Service and maintain machinery including, Atlas equipment, Liebherr machinery, Trailers, Plant attachments • Complete maintenance and service documentation accurately and in line with company procedures. • Work both from the Doncaster depot and on rail/site locations as required. • Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently in accordance with industry and company standards. • Participate in weekend, night, and emergency/out-of-hours work when required. The ideal candidate: • Qualified fitter with experience working on rail-mounted plant or heavy plant machinery. • Strong knowledge of excavators and large plant equipment. • Ability to work independently and unsupervised when required. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Full UK driving licence. • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours including nights and weekends. • Own tools required (specialist tools provided where necessary). • Successful completion of mandatory Drug & Alcohol testing.
